Information: Kyrenia is a coastal city of Cyprus located around the middle of its northern coast. Kyrenia was colonized by the Achaeans from prehistoric times (1300 BC). According to Greek mythology, Kyrenia was founded by the Achaeans Kipheas and Praxandros who ended up there when they returned to their homeland from the Trojan War, the heroes gave the new city the name of their city of Kyrenia located in Achaia.
